The New Government Program
The Obama administration and various banking institutions have been working together to create a new loan modification program. The idea is to help keep people from loosing their homes to foreclosure. The first program to come out was called “Hope for Homeowners” and now the latest by the government is named “Making Home Affordable.”
These loan modification programs are designed to help individuals and families keep their homes. The best thing to do to find out more information is to call you bank or visit the government website for more information. You can receive assistance through a HUD approved housing counselor absolutely free or call and speak with your bank. However, if you have attempted this and have been ignored or are frustrated with their lack of responsiveness you may want to consider contacting a professional real estate adviser.
